In justice to myself, and in reply to your correspondent C., who believes I have "not the slightest authority" for my explanation of the word *Trianon*, I beg to refer him to the French dictionaries, in some of which, at all events, he will find it thus written: *Trianon*, subst. masc., *a pavilion*.
